ASL regularly offers preparation courses for the TestDaF-examination. Oncompletion of the course, the test can be taken at the ASL Language School.
The TestDaF consists of four parts: reading comprehension, listening comprehension, writing skills and speaking skills. Unlike the DSH exam or the telc C1 Hochschule, the TestDaF focuses more on the communicative competence of the candidates rather than on grammatical rules and structures. If you achieve at least Level 4 of the test (TDN 4) in each of the parts of the test, you can study at any university in Germany. Since every higher education institute has its own admissions policy, some admit applicants whose scores are below TDN 4. However, you have to attain at least TDN 3.
ASL offers preparation courses for the TestDaF exam on a regular basis. On passing the TestDaF exam, you will be awarded a certificate which is recognised by all universities and other higher education institutes in Germany. This certificate is not only required for admission to secondary or higher education, but also serves to attest that you have sufficient German language skills required for working in Germany.
