TestDaF for foreign students

Sufficient German language skills are a requirement for foreigners seeking to study or complete vocational training in Germany. The following are considered proof of sufficient language skills:

    1. A diploma (Abitur) from a German-speaking school
    2. The German-proficency test for university admissions (DSH 2 or 3)
    3. The ZOP (Zentrale OberstufungPrfung) certificate from the Goethe Institute.
    4. The German-as-a-foreign-language (TestDaF) test

ASL prepares its students for the four sections of the DaF test:

    - Reading comprehension
    - Listening comprehension
    - Writing abilities
    - Speaking abilities

The test is passed successfully when the test-taker achieves at least level 3 in all four sections of the test.
The Ludwig-Maximillians University (LMU), the Technical University of Munich (TUM), and the Munich University of Applied Sciences (Fachhochschule München) usually require level 4 in the
    four test sections.

Some universities in Germany also accept lower results (DaF level 3). Each university has its own individual requirements for admissions. For this reason it is important that potential students ask the international office of the universities they are applying to about the DaF results they require. In some cases,
this information can be found on the internet.

ASL regularly offers very successful prepatory courses for Test-DaF. Over six weeks students are prepared for test - giving them excellent chances to reach their goals (level 4 or 5). The courses encompass 25 lesson hours and take place from 8:45 to 13:00.

Entry requirement: Participants must complete Intermediate level II/III before registering for the course
